二、本周六（2014年2月1日）将是秋季学期（主校）的最后一周，所有中文班级都会举行才艺表演、扎灯笼、写春联、接对联、猜谜语等与春节习俗有关的春节庆祝活动。希望师生家长们开开心心地共同庆祝我们的传统佳节！需要提醒大家的是请务必注意保持教室清洁，不能带食物和饮料在教室里吃，活动结束后必须要清洁教室。
This Saturday will be our last day of this fall semester and every Chinese class have prepared activities like talent show, riddle games, Chinese traditional crafts etc. to let the students, teachers and parents celebrate our traditional spring festival together. We hope you all have a wonderful time! At the same time we want to remind you of the importance of keeping the classrooms clean. Be sure to not bring food and drinks into the classroom and please clean up after the celebration.

温馨提示：有些家长询问新学期需不需要换班的问题，由于我们学校绝大部分课程是以一个学年（两学期）的长度为单位来设计的，除非是任课老师特别建议或是课程时间有冲突，一般情况下大家不需要换班，而是应该按这学期班号注册。

Also the upcoming semester is the continuation of the current fall semester from teaching plan's perspective. Unless there is any special reason (like teacher's recommendation, schedule conflict etc.), you don't need to change classes in the middle of school year since usually your current class is designed as a one-year-long course.

七、The first session of AMC/MIC training at middle-school level will be on Feb. 8th 13:00pm. If you are interested to send your children for participation, please reserve seats at nwcsmath@live.com, we will make arrangement beforehand, and inform you the details afterwards.
八、大家期待已久的西北中文学校马年春节联欢会将如期在2月2日隆重举行。如果您想欣赏到我校师生家长花几个月时间精心准备的这场文化盛宴，请您尽快到本校2014CNY售票网站直接购票，票价为每位$8元。如果您在网上买了票， 请打印出购票凭据于本周六从9点30分至1点到PTA Desk处或在演出当天到剧场入口处取票。您也可以在PTA Desk处直接购票。
We are looking forward to our own annual Chinese New Year party, which will be held on 02/02/2014 in Northshore Performing Art Center. Our school PTA, teachers and students have been preparing for this party for several months. Please make your ticket purchases as soon as possible. Tickets price is $8 dollars per person. Please order your tickets directly from our school 2014CNY ticket sales site and print out purchase confirmation for ticket pick-up at the PTA desk.
