1． 重要通知
因NHS数学竞赛占用一楼的全部十三个教室，所有原在一楼上课的班级，本周六临时改在三楼上课。早上九点至十一点上中文课的6A,6B,6E,11A,12A,8A,8E,9A,9E,10A,5B,7E,1F等班级以及其他时段的所有课程都将受到影响，务请大家配合。详细安排请看附件，和大厅的公告。
This Saturday, Dec. 4th,, 2010, all classes are back to normal schedules on both main and branch campuses. Yet, for some classes on the main campus, due to NHS annual Math Competition, there are adjustments of classrooms for classes on the first floor. 13 classrooms are to be affected and adjusted to the third floor accordingly. For details, please see the attached. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. I apologize for the inconvenience occurred.
2. 务必保持教室整洁，注意安全
三楼的临时教室与一楼教室的不同在于，三楼临时教室多为实验室，桌椅构造不同，部分桌面上放有实验设备，请老师在正常授课的同时，务必提醒学生不要触摸、移动室内的任何设备，以免不小心打破玻璃器皿而受轻伤。
The difference between classrooms on the 3rd floor and those on the 1st is that former ones are of lab-type, with equipment and glassware on the table. Please pay enough attention to the protection of the equipment and the safety of all students. Warn them to neither touch them nor play with them.
3. NHS Math Competition occupies half of the Common Area (far end)
除了一楼的教室需要调整外，NHS原本也要占用整个大厅。经协商，平时家长们看书、看电脑、下棋、聊天的大厅各用一半左右。NHS使用远离教室的一端。具体有多少桌椅可供我校家长们使用，请注意桌子上的标示。谢谢。
After detailed negotiations with NHS building manager, we NWCS can share the common area with NHS Math competition contenders, half and half, with the far end being used by NHS this Saturday December 4th from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Thanks.
4.本周六书画展截稿
书法绘画联展作品交稿截止日期为本月四日下午放学之前。请各位家长、老师提醒学生按时把作品交到ADMIN，没有开始或尚待完成的学生仍有几天时间可以完成。许多老师将其中的书法比赛当作一次作业，要求人人参与其中，这种做法值得提倡。比赛固然重要，但参与同样富有意义。经验告诉我们：学业的进步就是这诸多参与的累积和叠加，从小就积极参与各类力所能力的学术活动，对日后的学术成就影响深远。我们期待着更多的师生家长参与，我们期待着更多的优秀作品展示在西北人的面前。
The deadline for submission of one’s calligraphy and painting works is Dec. 4th, 2010 before the end of the school day. Please remind or urge your students to actively participate this great event. For those who forgot to do it or who had not yet finished, please make full use of these last few days to catch up. Competition to win is important. Being part of it is of more significance. Our experience has taught us that one’s academic achievements are the accumulation of those participations in the process of schooling. More teachers and parents are welcome to join the students with more works of artistic value being presented.
