大家好！
1．温馨提示 JUST A KIND REMINDER
就在我在室内给大家书写这篇每周综述的时候，室外雪花飘飘，安静而寒冷。根据气象预报，今晚到明天，西雅图及其周边地区会有至少一英吋的降雪。降雪会给我们的生活平添很多乐趣，与此同时，也会给我们的交通带来暂时的不便，请大家尽可能以步代车；非开车不可的，请小心驾驶，安全第一。雪融化水之时，往往气温骤降，请注意及时给学童加衣，谨防感冒！很幸运，降雪不是在周五周六，因此，不会影响到我们本周六的正常上课。如遇特殊情况，我们会在周六早七点半前做出“CLOSURE OR DELAY”的通知，敬请留意。
It is snowing outside while I am inside composing this WEEKLY. According to the forecast, we’ll have at least one inch snowfall tonight and tomorrow. Snow adds lots of fun to our comparatively dull and tedious winter life, yet, it brings traffic hectic too. Avoid driving if you can. Drive carefully if you have to. To prevent our kids from catching cold, please pay close attention to their proper seasonal clothes. Fortunately, the current snow will not affect our normal classes on the coming Saturday. If the road condition is too bad, or if snow falls again Friday, we will send out an emergency email of CLOSURE OR DELAY to all parents depending on the actual situation around 7:30AM Saturday. Stay tuning.
2.仍未交纳学费的家长，请您务必带支票本来
本周是开学的第三周，但仍有个别家长由于种种原因尚未交纳学费，固然WINTER-BREAK是原因之一，但规章制度就是规章制度，希望大家共同遵守。谢谢合作。
If you have NOT got a chance to pay the tuition for your students within last two weeks, please do so on this coming Saturday (02/26) at the Admin Desk during the school hours. Starting from forth week (03/05), an additional $5.00/week will be charged for late tuition payment.Please NOTE, even your student meets the requirements for tuition waiver, you still need to make the payment first and the school will refund you upon approval.
3．中华文化之旅知识竞赛
2011 Chinese Scholastic Competition Registration Starts
学校高兴地看到我校部分学生已经报名参赛，校长在这里再次鼓励我们更多的学生报名参赛，具体事宜请与各个学科的主任联系并听取他们的荐言：中文：孙梅茹，数学：戴嵘；舞蹈：傅白薇；绘画：赵铮；分校：黄敏球。Here is the link:

本竞赛的另一个长处在于它的普及性、和年龄段的大小、知识领域涵盖面要比汉办组织的中华文化知识竞赛要大得多，对年龄小的同学更有益。换句话说，它和去年汉办的比赛非但没有冲突，还有互补性。
4． 《山歌好比春江水》民俗歌舞晚会 - NWCS 优惠票
CHINESE FOLK SONG SHOW ON MARCH 5TH, 2011, DISCOUNTED TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE NEAR ADMIN DESK THIS COMING SATURDAY
去年新成立的西雅图歌舞团将以“山歌好比春江水”为主题，于三月五日星期六举行首场演出(详情请看PTA Weekly Email/附件）。这场演出以歌剧《刘三姐》精选片段为主线，形式新颖不凡，对学生们将是一场中国传统文化艺术的熏陶。为了感谢我校对该团的支持，西雅图歌舞团将于本星期六（2/26）在主校大厅设点出售优惠票，2:30PM下午场：NWCW教师及学生优惠票价仅为$5一张，和学生一起看节目的家长也只收$5一张。7PM晚场: 还有少部分票，价格每张为$5至$15。节目精彩、票价低廉、艺术享受、莫失良机。本团的部分演员有的曾经是我校学生的家长，有的现在仍然是我校学生的家长。希望广大家长用给鼓励、尊敬的态度，用为他们捧场的方式，感谢他们为我校做出过的杰出贡献。
5. 通知领取书画作品
请我校书画展获奖的同学来ADMIN取回原作，还没有领取奖状和奖金的同学，请来ADMIN领取。
All prize winners of NWCS Painting & Calligraphy please come to ADMIN DESK to take home your original works. Those who have not got your prizes, please take them too. Congratulations!
6．民族舞蹈教学演示
我校学生家长，原北京军区战友文工团舞蹈演员张女士，将在三月五日上午十一点至十二点在主校大厅表演民族舞蹈片断，讲述和交流她教授民族舞蹈的体会，敬请对此感兴趣的家长光临，学校将根据报名的人数和教室的具体情况，决定适时地开课。

7.老生常谈-教室管理CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT-AN OLD TOPIC
保持教室的整洁、若移动桌椅，务请课后恢复原位。这一点无论怎么强调都不过分！尽管我们反复强调，总有个别教室出问题，显然是没有严格遵守《教室管理细则》所致。
Please keep the classroom clear and tidy, in the original setting. If you have to move the desks and the chairs around, please remember to reset them before class is over. We call everyone’s attention again and again, yet, there are classes where problems found, which indicated our carelessness. I hereby call for your attention to follow the Rules & Regulations of NHS Classrooms Managements.
