1． 期末考试在即
FINAL EXAMS FALL ON THIS SATURDAY
本周六，从上午九点钟开始，大部分教学班级将按教学计划进行期末考试。请各位家长在百忙之中，敦促学生复习好本学期所学的基本内容，必要时，请予以帮助，年幼的学童尤甚。但也没必要为刻意追求高分数而给孩子过多的压力，顺其自然最好。请各位家长尽量按时或提前把学生送进教室，这样他们才能从容应试。谢谢！
Beginning at 9 o’clock in the morning, most of the classes will have their final exams following our curriculum. Please try your best to help your kids to review the basic knowledge they have learned throughout the semester. Yet, it is not necessary at all to give them more pressure only for the sake of getting a better score. To naturally reflect what they know is the ideal state. Please send them to school in time so that they have enough time to calm down and concentrate. Thanks.
2． 全校会员大会 NWCS GENERAL ASSEMBLY
根据我校董事会的决议，我校将于本周六在主校大厅举行一年一度的全校会员大会。本人以校长的名义，邀请各位家长教师前来。你们的参与尤其是你们的宝贵建议将对学校的发展产生积极深远的影响。会议的内容主要有：补选董事会成员；分析解释财务运营状况；校长述职报告；听取会员意见等等。具体程序和时间详见董事会通知。
THE NWCS Board has decided to hold the annual general assembly this Saturday (JUNE 4TH, 2011) in the lobby of Newport High School. As the Principal, I cordially invite all of you to the meeting. Your presence will be much appreciated. Most importantly, your advice counts. The agenda includes, but not limited to, Board Election, Financial Analysis, Principal’s duty report, questions & answers, etc. The Board will dispatch the details. Stay Tuned.

7．送上门的暑期中文教师培训 TEACHERS TRAINING IN AUGUST (08/12/2011-08/18/2011) PLEASE PLAN AHEAD AND MARK YOUR CALENDAR
除了先前发布的教师回国暑期培训的机会以外，国家汉办将从四川大学、山东大学和中国海洋大学抽调三名骨干教师来美进行为时三周的中文学校教师巡回培训。我校为第一站，时间大约在八月十五日前后的那一周，能参加的中文老师，欢迎都尽量参加。送到家门口的培训，机会难得。带薪加补助的培训，万望早做安排。培训的具体时间地点另行通知。DETAILS, ADMIN DESK, PLEASE.
